Meet the team

Geoff Sharpe, managing editor and publisher

Not a journalist by trade, Geoff realized if no one was going to write about local issues the way he hoped, he thought he’d give it a try. He’s the founder of the Lookout, when he had an idea that there could be a different type of local news that informs readers.

You can find him at his favourite Italian restaurant, visiting a new coffee shop, or hunched over a computer screen writing the latest edition of the newsletter.

Ralf Joneikies, food and drink editor

Ralf is the food and drinks editor at Capital Eats, our food-focued newsletter at Ottawa Lookout. He spends his time finding hidden gem restaurants throughout the city and has quickly grown Capital Eats into Ottawa’s most trusted and fastest growing resource for restaurant reviews
