With few exceptions, previous burger safaris have concentrated on the traditional beef variety. After reviewing Odd Burger the other week, I decided I needed to find a better example of a vegan burger. I got lucky.
I found a spot on Murray St. that has in fact been on Ottawa’s food scene for 31 years. Vegans and vegetarians may well be acquainted with it, and that’s because, as co-owner Pushparani told me, they rely almost exclusively on word of mouth.
So today we start at Peace Garden.
