Courage Cookies bakes up tasty treats
A cookie surprise on Wellington West.

Courage Cookies, #4-1130 Wellington St. W.
Courage Cookies (good name) was started by a Toronto couple, Chelsea and Ian, during the pandemic. They were whiling away the days and decided to start baking. They eventually baked so many cookies that it turned into a surplus and the idea for a business was born.
They have two Toronto locations and recently opened a storefront in the old Sharpfle Waffle location on Wellington West.

They offer a good variety of recipes with some specialty items costing a little more than the $3.40 per cookie.
I particularly enjoyed the tahini cookie sprinkled with sesame seeds. It was a nicely imagined treat that was a hybrid of cookie and halva, only less pasty.
They use quality ingredients with brown butter seemingly a staple in a number of selections. I’m certainly a fan of that.
I know that some folks enjoy the taste of cookie dough and I don’t. It’s an offense to the palate and on my visit the Skor cookies were tragically underdone.
There can be a good debate on whether $20 for six cookies is a value but they do a decent job and contribute financially to communities in need through their sales. To date they’ve raised more than $100,000.
