A perfect wine to explore Gewurztraminer

The wine has a little more acidity than others, but is balanced nicely

Dr. Zenzen Gewurztraminer | Germany | LCBO Code #31819 | $18.95 | 750 ml 10% alc. | 23 g/l res. Sugar

In German “Gewurz” means spice and “Tramin” is a region in northern Italy where the grape is said to be from. The Gewurztraminer (geh-verts-tra-meaner) grape makes an appealing wine. The oldest known plantings go back 400 years in Germany’s Pfalz region although the world’s largest production stems from France’s Alsace.
