Char-grilled chicken for the soul at Yko

For those who know the original YKO BBQ Chicken on McArthur Ave. you already know you love it. I first got hooked on their African BBQ style of char-grilled bird years ago and I keep going back.

Now, after many months of delay, YKO at 263 Dalhousie St. has finally opened and I’m delighted that their chicken is every bit as good as that on McArthur. If you’ve not yet had the pleasure, I suggest you make the trip. Bear in mind that it’s very easy for two people to consume the entire thing in one go so order accordingly.

Lastly, do not throw out the bones or skin. Simmer them down with onions, carrots and celery for the basis of a super, smoky chicken stock. You’ll thank me later.
