Paninaro makes a splash with its grand opening
A Capital eats favourite holds it's full opening.
Last Saturday Paninaro owner Marco Distefano had his grand opening. Of course he’d been operating for many months already but now he’d taken over the full retrofitted house known as Paninaro.
His unique Florentine sandwiches are built using daily fresh-baked breads and in-house stracciatella cheese and they are enough for two.
I arrived early enough to snag a seat but soon the place was full to bursting with friends and locals who wanted to celebrate this hip and fabulously delicious eatery.
Friends arrived with a dark chocolate cake complete with Roman candle sending up shards of fire.
Paninaro is now licensed so you can enjoy a brew or two with your lunch.
